Bob Garlitzke was Commodore in 1985.  Membership was 150.

This year the Club began operating a booth at the annual Central Florida Boat Show in March.  The traditions of summer picnics at Hagood's, volunteering at the Citrus Bowl Regatta, the booth at the Central Florida Boat Show, the Golden Age Games, the July Crab Party, the Moonlight Sail, post-meeting pizza at Sorrento's and the Christmas Party continued.  A new tradition, Sunday racing, began.

Club members also sponsored a charter to Dry Tortugas, and other events.

Ralph Hagood & his lovely bride loaned the use of their Lake Conway beach for Sailing Club summer picnics for many years.
